Cracked Teeth

Cracked teeth are complex and treatment for your teeth may vary and depend on the type, location, and extent of the crack. If your dentist has noticed a crack or if you’ve experienced any symptoms that your dentist recognizes as a possible cracked tooth, our appointment can help you pinpoint the issue and your best possible treatment option.

Symptoms of a cracked tooth may include pain when chewing, temperature sensitivity, or a combination of these. Chewing can cause flexure at a cracked area creating irritation that affects the tooth’s pulp, causing pain. Sometimes a crown suffices, but at other times, symptoms indicate that a crown alone isn’t enough. Discomfort can become more persistent indicating injury to the pulp.

We’ll do our best to help you make the right treatment decisions so that you’ll have the care you need.
